Which has had a greater effect on the Blazers maintaining their effort on a nightly basis, the progression of the rookies or the liveliness of J. Howard?
Juwan has been incredible, but to me, I think it’s The rookies. Jerryd Bayless and his improved scoring have been able to fill some of the void with Brandon out for so many games and Dante Cunningham coming into the league and being able to shoot the jumper the way he does is incredible. That’s not mentioning the stellar defense and athleticism for Cunningham. Also, Pendergraph has been great. I would say the GM, coaches and staff are the ones deserving of a lot of credit. The GM drafted and believed in these players and the coaching staff have put them in a great position to succeed out on the floor and step into new rolls where other teams may have trouble filling holes.

Goddammit. I just bought my T1i. This thing looks amazing for the price. Can’t wait to see what some of the footage looks like.
The T1i’s not even a year old, and Canon’s knocking it down: The Rebel T2i pulls from the 7D, delivering 18 megapixels and legit 1080p video (24, 25 or 30fps) for $900.
The T2i pulls from the higher-end 7D almost the same way the T1i pulled from the 50D, though it has its own sensor that simply borrows the gapless microlens tech from the 7D, which was supposedly why it could cram 18MP onto an APS-C-sized chip without noise the size of boulders. (We’ll see if that’s the case.) The main thing you do lose from the 7D is that you only get a 4-channel readout with this sensor, vs. the 7D’s 8-channel, and it’s only got one DIGIC IV processor, not two.

“Professor John Hall has not taught on campus since Jan. 14, when, during a comparative economics course, he accused a 30-year-old student of being an FBI informant and threatened to place posters of him around campus. Depending on the outcome of the internal inquiry, Hall could face a range of sanctions, including termination, said Scott Gallagher, communications director for PSU. Gallagher did not know when the inquiry would be completed.”
